The San Benito County Arts Council is thrilled to announce the opening of their summertime exhibition, “California Dreamin’,” showcasing a collection of artworks that celebrate the essence of sunshine, summer nostalgia, and the California Dream. This exhibition will feature a diverse range of paintings, fiber arts, mixed media, photography, and other 2D and 3D artworks created by talented local and regional artists.
The Opening Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 22nd from 12-4 pm at the Art Depot in downtown Hollister. “California Dreamin'” explores the idyllic and often wistful imagery associated with our Golden State’s summer days. Attendees can expect to see an array of artistic expressions, each piece narrating a unique story of summer through various mediums.
“We are excited to present this exhibition that not only highlights the incredible talent within our community but also resonates with the universal theme of summer nostalgia,” said Heidi Jumper, Director of Marketing & Outreach. “We invite everyone to join us for the Opening Celebration to meet the artists and experience the magic of California summers through their eyes.”
The Opening Celebration will include music, light refreshments, and opportunities to meet and engage with the artists behind the works. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. The exhibition can also be viewed during special gallery hours Fridays in July, 5-7 pm.
