A five-acre fire was reported at the 800 block of Hernandez Road around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15.
A 6:20 p.m. that day, Cal Fire BEU’s Facebook update said the fast-moving fire was 400 acres and 20% contained. The cause of the ignition is under investigation.
At 5:50 p.m. on June 16 the Cal Fire reported the fire encompased 642 acres and was 35% contained. This reports stated 100 personnel, two helicopters, 11 engines, two dozers, two tenders and two crews were working to contain fire.
