Meetings held by agencies that provide services to the public are generally open to members of the public. These include local governmental bodies, school districts and water districts. The meetings, which are meant to provide transparency in the decisions made by local leaders that impact our community, can occur weekly, twice a month, or quarterly.
Public agencies are required to publish agendas 72 hours prior to a regular meeting and 24 hours prior to a special meeting.
The following meetings are scheduled for the week of April 7.
| April 7 | San Benito County Veterans Park Commission at 5 p.m. Full agenda here. |
| April 7 | Hollister City Council at 6:30 p.m. Among the items in the agenda are a public hearing about an ordinance considering outside sewer connections, and presentations about urban growth boundaries, a fire protection services contract, and a lobbying ordinance. Full agenda here. |
| April 8 | San Benito County Audit Committee at 8 a.m. Full agenda here. |
| April 8 | San Benito County Board of Supervisors at 9 a.m. Among the items in the agenda are the consideration of renaming a segment of Hwy 25, fire protection services and appointments to the Public Defender Oversight Committee. Full agenda here. |

| April 8 | Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG) at 6 p.m. Public workshop for input on transportation needs. Meeting takes place at 440 San Benito Street, Hollister. |
