
Hollister High School basketball and soccer teams earned spots in the Central Coast Section playoffs. The boys and girls basketball teams will compete for the Dvision 1 crown. The boys soccer team will compete for the Division 2 title. The girls soccer team will compete for the Division 4 title.

Boys basketball is scheduled to play in San Jose against Independence High on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m in the first round of Division 1 playoffs. The Balers are unranked and finished the season with a 9-4 record and 13-8 overall. The team finished third in the PCAL-Mission Division behind Watsonville High and North Monterey County High. If the Balers advance, they will play Santa Teresa in San Jose on Feb. 22.
Girls basketball is scheduled to host the winner between Leigh High and Mountain View High on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m in the second round of the Division 1 playoffs. The Balers are ranked #7 and were given a bye in the first round of playoffs. The team finished with a 8-4 league record and 14-9 overall. They were third in the standings of the PCAL-Gabilan Division behind Salinas High and Watsonville High. They split the two-game series with both teams in the season.


Girls soccer finished the season with a 5-5-2 league record and 9-7-2 overall. They were third in the standings of the PCAL-Gabilan division behind Salinas and Soledad. They are scheduled to play in the quarterfinal game against Christopher High School on Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. in Gilroy. The winner will advance to the semifinal game on Feb. 26. Opponent, times and location are still to be determined.
Boys soccer finished the season with a 7-3-2 league record and 10-7-3 overall. They were second in the standings of the PCAL-Gabilan Division behind Everett Alvarez High. They are the visiting team in the quarterfinal game against Del Mar High School. The game is scheduled for Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in San Jose. The winner will advance to the semifinal game on Feb. 26. Opponent, times and location are still to be determined.
