More than 50 people took part in the grand opening of Hill’s Bookstore at 650 San Benito Street in Hollister on Feb. 15. Ohana Shave Ice served coffee and the new store provided treats.

“I’m so happy that we have a bookstore in this town,” said Monica Gonzalez (right, pictured with Jacqueline Guido). “Now this town is complete—and we love reading.”
Donna Silva said she was excited to visit the store and have a look at its wide variety of books.

“I think they did a great job,” Terry Adams said. “Hollister needed a good bookstore in town.”
“We haven’t had something like this in Hollister,” Kyle Roderick said. “I moved here in 2018 and it’s neat to see a new business.”

Hollister City Councilmember Rudy Picha (right, pictured here with Peter Hernandez), said he loves the knowledge that comes out of bookstores and is glad to see another business downtown.
