This year’s Hollister Recreation Department’s Trick or Treat event saw many residents, some scary, some fun, come through the annual event on San Benito Street. According to the Chamber of Commerce the number of participants doubled from last year, which was around 2,000. BenitoLink’s team on the ground had to replenish its candy supply twice.

Several downtown agencies and businesses took part, including The Community Foundation for San Benito, San Benito County Free Library and the county office of education. BenitoLink team members handed out candy to many of the kids who came through and also handed out High Temp Safety and Saving Water literature along with environmentally themed activity books. All three were provided by Ventura Community Foundation Central Coast Trusted Messenger grant.

All photos were taken by BenitoLink intern, Jessica Parga.
