The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9242, The VFW Auxiliary, and their families are hosting the First Annual Carnival of Special Heroes on Friday August 30, 2024 at Veterans Memorial Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event will host booths, games, and activities for children with special needs. VFW Post 9242 is coordinating with local schools to have the special needs students attend this event during their school day.
We are asking for the community’s help in making this a fun and memorable event for our special needs children. We need volunteers to help set-up, operate the booths/activities, and clean up after the conclusion of the event. If anyone is interested in helping and/or sponsoring a booth please contact us. We are also looking for food vendors to attend and provide drinks and snacks during the event. If you can help us make this a great event for our Special Heroes please contact us.
