Mia Casey doesn’t have San Benito’s interests at heart. She’s not from here, so maybe that’s why (she’s from San Jose). Casey serves the interests of outside developers and large landowners looking to sell out, not the people of San Benito.
Casey and her supporters have one goal: develop San Benito at all costs and on their terms, the People be darned. They want to leverage San Benito’s growth opportunities towards themselves and against the people. They’ll sell anything that’s not nailed down. Any offer, any price, any consequence. She’s the person to make that happen.
Build massive swaths of single family tract homes everywhere? Let’s do it.
Affordable housing? Keep those numbers as low as possible.
Hazel Hawkins hospital? For sale to the highest bidder.
Declining schools and infrastructure? Not our problem.
Quality of life for San Benito residents? Who cares when you can sell your land and move out.
Strada Verde? Casey wants it.
Use local contractors and trade workers for jobs? No, let developers use outside labor, it’s cheaper.
Biker Rally? Too much of a hassle.
Casey’s interests are landowners who are chomping at the bit to sell, and any outside interest who wants to come to San Benito and make a buck.
San Benito has one choice if it doesn’t want to become a San Jose: get rid of Mia Casey and her Maximalist-Growth Agenda.
P.S.: She finds it humorous that the Hollister Police Department makes fun of residents on their social media. That shows her contempt for the people of San Benito. That shows her lack of professionalism.
We deserve better.
Get rid of Casey and her Pro-Developer Supporters.
