Get ready to step into the holiday spirit with a gift that keeps on giving!
This upcoming holiday season, the YMCA of San Benito County is honored to be part of the 12th annual “12 Days of Giving” campaign—a cherished community-wide effort to uplift local nonprofit organizations. From December 1st to the 12th, we invite you to join us in making a real difference for our neighbors who need it most.
This year’s 12 Days of Giving campaign includes nonprofits that share our passion for community betterment, like Emmaus House, CASA of San Benito County, Community Food Bank of San Benito County, and Sun Street Centers. What makes this campaign even more special is that every donation made during this period will be matched in part by funds provided by local organizations and businesses. This means your generosity will go even further, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
Since 1999, the YMCA of San Benito County has offered programs to the community, creating a supportive, inclusive environment where our youth, families, and individuals can thrive. Through our after-school programs, youth sports, wellness facility and more, we offer safe and nurturing spaces where all ages can stay active, build lifelong friendships, and receive essential support. We strive for our programs to foster a sense of belonging and connection within our community and we’ve seen this in effect firsthand. Leah Dekaldb moved to our community five years ago, without having any connections in the area. “After joining the YMCA, I quickly found my people. Now, I look forward to working out every day because it means spending time with like-minded friends who are also dedicated to self-improvement,” says Dekaldb. Stories like Dekalb’s remind us of the lasting impact the Y has on our members’ lives, strengthening not just their bodies, but their hearts and minds as well.
Recognizing that financial barriers should never prevent someone from accessing the benefits of our programs, we offer a generous scholarship program, thanks to the support of our staff, members, and community. This initiative ensures that all community members, regardless of their financial situation, can participate in the Y’s activities.
By supporting the YMCA of San Benito County in 12 Days of Giving, you’re not just making a donation—you’re helping us continue our mission and build a stronger community “for a better us.” Whether it’s providing after-school care, encouraging youth through sports, or bringing creative outlets and fitness programs to underserved areas, your gift will directly impact the lives of those we serve.
