Caltrans provides asphalt paving project updates

Travelers heading westbound on Highway 156 near Mission Vineyard Road in San Juan Bautista will encounter a shoulder closure on Friday, September 27.

This traffic control on a one-quarter mile section of Hwy. 156 near Mission Vineyard Road will take place from 7 am to 4 pm to allow for asphalt paving.

Delays are not expected to exceed 10 minutes.

Travelers are encouraged to be aware of Construction Signs and all highway workers within this work zone.

The contractor for this project is Teichert Construction of Sacramento, CA. The San Benito Route 156 Improvement Project is expected to conclude in the Fall of 2025.

Travelers will encounter one-way reversing traffic control at the intersection of Union Road and San Juan Hollister Road near Hollister beginning Saturday, September 28 to allow for asphalt paving.

This traffic control will take place on Saturday and Sunday between 7 am to 4 pm and this work is expected to be complete by Sunday evening.

Delays are expected not to exceed 15 minutes.

Travelers are encouraged to be aware of construction signs, message boards, flaggers and all highway workers within these work zones.
